Hey,

So I've decided my shoulder has been getting to soft. As such I feel as though a 10ga is in order for ducks and coyotes this season.

It'll have to be pump and accept chokes. Preferably under $1000.

Anyone with some practical experience able to point me in the right direction towards a good make/ model?

I suggest you try a 10ga pump before you buy one. I am a big guy almost 300 pounds with fair set of shoulders and my browning 10ga BPS would turn my shoulder purple after a week of goose hunting. I use browning semi golds and sp-10's now and have for probally 15 years and would never go back to a pump in a 10ga . I called the BPS the OLD Mule. It was a great working gun but would hurt you

I had a BPS 10ga once and would not recommend one to anybody. You need to have super long arms to cycle it. It will beat the crap out of you. I used to come home from the field with my cheek swelled up like I was in a bar fight. Scratch up a little more cash and get a used SP-10 or Browning GOLD.

I agree, I also had a browning bps synthetic and it had a lot of recoil especially when I tried shooting slugs in deer season. I ended up trading it in on an sp10 which has been an excellent gun
