Lookin' to buy a shotgun

Seem's like a decent toss-up between Mossberg and Remington.

When I held the 870 yesterday, it's looked pretty dull and basic. But it looked rugged and like it would take a beating. (Not that I plan on beating the snot out of a shotgun)

I held a used Mossberg, and it seemed quite decent also. I'm kind of at a toss-up.

I've had both recommended to me quite a few times.

If the Rem feels like a better fit then go for it. The Mossy is less expensive, comes with 3 choke tubes vs 1 for the Rem, and has a better finish on the metal and wood (assuming you aren't going synthetic). I seriously doubt you would regret buying either one, but having tried both, if I had to do it again it would be another Mossberg.

If you're going for a Mossberg make sure you take the time to look at the prices at www.sirmailorder.com

I'm wondering what to do with what's left of my Christmas bonus and a Mossberg is one of the options I'm looking into. SIR would be the place where I would buy it as no dealer in Montreal sells them and SIR seems to have the best prices on these.

Good luck with your purchase.

If I got the Mossberg it would be a camo synthetic.

If I were you tye I'd purchase a 870 express combo because you can get all kinds of part's for them and if you will excuse the pun their nearly bullit proof. extended mag's etc no problem. cement head
