Looking at buying a Traditions ML - does Steel or Alloy matter?

As mentioned, I believe I am going to buy a muzzleloader for the 2009 hunting season, and have done some research and am ok on buying a cheaper Traditions muzzleloader, likely in the Pursuit line with the 209 primers and break open action. I noticed that some have an alloy receiver, and others are solid steel. There may be a slight weight difference, but has anyone heard of trouble with the alloy version? Looking for feedback from owners or friends of owners, I don't plan on buying the H&R, or spending more on a TC. Just don't want to regret not getting the solid steel in years to come. Thanks!

For just gettng started, the alloy reciever will be fine. As the muzzleloader bug takes hold, you will trade up. Trust me.
 
my hunting buddy had an LT and after 30 or so soo there was a lot of loose in the hinge (break open) and at times the firing pin would hit of center and prevent the shot from going off.

he brought it back to the store, they sent it for repairs and Traditions gave him a new PRO full steel receiver, that cure the problem

I had a PRO and my problem was the trigger pull it varied at times it would go from 2 lb to 10lb, sent it in for repais, it came back after 3 months in the same way, sold it and bought a T/C Triumph, happy camper ever since
 
um i have a Traditions Pursuit XLT .50 cal , they suck... broke after 100 shots! the dam hinge side cracked!

buy a real gun get a pro hunter :) , encore , T/C Triumph
