Hey, I'm new to Gun Nutz so I'm not exactly sure where I should be posting this. I run a hardware store in Thunder Bay, Ontario. For the last few years we've carried the NcStar line of optics and have just added Holosun and Vortex. I'm looking at carrying higher end brands as well such as Eotech and Aimpoint. I've spoken to a few companies about carrying optics and real steel accessories and I get asked for a firearms resale license. As far as I was aware, according to the laws, you only need one for selling firearms, ammo and restricted parts. Does anyone know where I can go to get more information, or have any suggestion on optics and parts wholesalers in Canada? Any info would be appreciated.

Ill be frank.
What you getting is the squeeze from the firearms distribitors.
See in canada, you have to beg most wholesalers to sell too you.
Try going direct, most people import eotec and aimpoint direct.

Classy move BBB, good on ya.

OP: One tip....firearms enthusiasts can be a fickle bunch when it comes to buying stuff....I would avoid the term "real steel" in the future. To air softers it probably sounds like a good thing, but to a ton of firearms guys it says "I sell toys". What you call "real steel scopes" we simply call "scopes" or "optics". Not hashing on you at all, just a heads up. :)

Haha thanks, I appreciate that. I've always called them Firearm Optics or just Optics myself. Just seems like all of our customers in the area always come in asking for "real steel" stuff so I thought that was a common thing now. I guess we're just weird up here.

Also thank you BBB for the help. I was considering going direct, but I was hoping there was a good supplier located in Canada that we could deal with.
