looking at getting in to 3 gun

All of those guns are fine, if you already have them.
Shoot a couple of matches, before you start buying anything else.
You aren't going to win any medals in your first couple of matches, regardless of what guns/gear you buy.
If you're shooting for fun and recreation (like most of us) then the gun you enjoy shooting the most is the one you should be using.
Later, if you become very serious and want to win medals; Then will be the time to invest in all of the very fastest competitive guns/gear.
Then... 'What 7.62 says...
Learn to shoot/reload fast.
If you suck it doesn't matter what you're shootin'... You suck.
I will always maintain... Those who rely on capacity are fooling themselves if they think it gives them a significant advantage.
as for shooting I have 5 small bore Canadian titles 2 Commonwealth gold metals for small bore. I have a belt buckle that says Canadian champ on it in trap. I hold the record for the youngest age to win the lieutenant governors prize witch is 600 meters to 1000 meters. I have never shot postal in competition but my dad is in the B.C. hall of fame for postal shooting and I have shot with him lots. once again off topic again. would just like to get some info so I can try a new sport in shooting did not think it would be this hard lol

That is great that you have titles and medals and such. That kind of tells me that you understand that there are right tools for the job, and mediorce tools for the job. I am pretty sure you didn't win your Small Bore Canadian titles with an off the shelf Cooey 39 with blade sights.
We are all here trying to steer you in the direction of not making the mistakes that we already made.

AR-15 is Restricted if you had to use one that was not what one would you use. Im looking for something I can all so take out and shoot in the woods for fun AR-15 not so much lol I'm not going for medals in this indever this is just for fun far to fat now to be competitive

if its just for fun, then get whatever guns you want and use those. if you know youre not going to be competitive then would you rather be slightly more competitive with guns you didn't want, or slightly less competitive with guns that you did want?

Respectfully, its a little unclear what information you're after here. Regarding a 3 gun rifle....ANY rifle will work. If you can't see buying an AR, then don't. Use what you have and have a good time. You don't need anyone's advice if you've already made up your mind.
Those who have commented in this thread have correctly noted that this type of competition begs the use of an AR, its completely modular, box fed, a semi auto and extremely accurate with the right setup. Not having one could put you at a disadvantage right off the start.
If you're simply looking for a confirmation for what you want to do (ie, run with your SL-8) then do that and have fun. It's less than ideal but with the right attitude won't change the amount of fun you have. If, later on...you decide to upgrade, then thats cool too.
