looking at m14 .. thanks

There are two experts on gunnutz for the M14. One is M14Doctor and the other is Hungry. To have a gun worked on by either is priceless.

If you can attend one of their seminars, do it. You learn more there than a year on here reading.
 
Would love to have an M-14, did not know they were available in Canada. I expect they would cost over $3000 to purchase one? I also understand that if you could get your hands on one it would be a clone and not surplus military issue?

What we refer to as an M14 is either an M14S or M305, Chinese made copies of the Springfield Armory Inc. M1A Rifle, which are semi-automatic. They only cost around $500, whereas you'd probably pay three times that for an M1A. Real, GI M14s are prohibited as they are full auto.
 
They are all clones of the real USGI M14's made by H&R, SA, TRW , and Win! Not to worry, for around $ 500 ish, you can get a great rifle and tweak it some more into your pride and joy. We are here for ya! ;)
