looking at starting to hunt

i want to hunt, what do i need to do after getting the hunting licence?

You'll really need to figure out what game/animal you want to hunt first and find a mentor/buddy that can help. Doing some reading can help, but really need to hook up with someone that can teach you about going after whatever animal it is your after. Is getting the knowledge gear and guns for whatever you are hunting.

best advice anyone can give you is get a mentor
there is just some stuff you cant learn from vids or books

You can hunt everything in ON with a

.22LR
12g shotgun
One of 270 WIN, 308 WIN, or 3006

After your hunting course join a local fish and game club and get a mentor. Its not easy to start hunting on your own.
