I am looking for some load data for a 243 win 8 twist barrel.
I am having a custom 243 win built. planning on shooting 95gr or 105gr bergers VLDS or 105gr A-max if I can find any. so if anyone has any good loads with these bullets that would be great

try hodgdons website they will have powder charges listed for those weights of bullets , maybe not the exact brand which dose not matter because typically you load to bullet weight not bullet name.

you may have a hard time making the 105 grain bullets group well in a 8 twist barrel typically you want a 10 twist barrel or higher for anything over 100 grains to group well.

I am loading for specific bullets. that would be why I built a gun designed to shoot target bullets. and that is why I used a 8 twist barrel. so thanks for the input but next time. you should know what you are talking about before you give your 2 cents

You should find some good info at these links:

And Sierra's info here:

I think you have it reversed. A longer/heavier bullet needs a faster twist. 1 in 8 is faster than 1 in 10. A quick place to check on twist requirements is the Berger site. They list minimum twist for each bullet.
