I am in need of some soft lead .251 bullets for some reloading and I have been pushed towards airgun pellets.

Does anyone know where in Canada I can get something around 50gr that is shaped more like a bullet?

I have found some pellets in the US but I do not know if I can legally have them shipped to me, I am not sure if airgun pellets are part of the exportation laws.

Looking to spend 10-15 cents each.

Thanks

The attempt is to load rounds for an old rimfire gun, I am iffy as heck about using hard cast but I do need lube grooves in the bullet/pellet. The factory ammo was 65gr soft lead so I hope to get close to that, at this point it looks like 40-50gr is going to be the closest I can get without making a custom mold.

Cast 50gr bullets for a .25 ACP ? Harold

25 ACP bullets would be perfect, the ones from bullet barn are all hard cast though, I do not really want to do that with a 90 year old rifle designed for soft lead.

Any idea of anyone making these? At this point it is not really worth the cost for my own mold until the proof of concept is there.

Cast them pure lead then or ask about having it done ,could a cheap Lee mold not be made deeper to increase bullet weight to whatever the factory .25 RF was? Try Cactus Plains in Sask for custom cast........Harold

That is the problem, I am looking for a bullet source or someone that has a mold to cast pure lead, Lee does not make a mold and for $150 and more for a custom one it makes no sense as a proof of concept. I am looking to find a Canadian source for dead soft lead cast bullets that I can lube for black powder.

This is why I was thinking heavy airgun pellets, I have emailed specialty shooting sports but nobody has yet to get back to me.
