Needle in a haystack I'm afraid. Lee Enfield serial numbers are 5 digits combined with with a letter often. I've never seen one with 6 digits. I guess this rifle has a special significance for you?

Hey
I'm not to sure on the SN to be honest, it was sold back in 2014-2015 from newfoundland province.
its only registration number i had for bolt action gun.
Is there anyway to find out by the FIN: 1328226?

Thanks

Greg

OP - it might help to research some names - during WWI, three factories in USA made rifles chambered for 303 British - for the British military - Eddystone, Winchester and Remington - at least some of them went into the 6##,### serial number range - They are often called "P14" or "Pattern 14", and many people refer to them as "Enfield" rifles because they were initially designed at the Enfield Armoury in Britain.

The common WWII rifles used by Canada and others was either a No. 1 or a No. 4 "Lee Enfield" - is not the same rifle at all to an "Enfield" P14, but both used 303 British cartridges.

It might help your search a bit to clarify the name? But, as above - pretty much looking for a needle in a hay stack - but occasionally, odder things have occurred!!! Have to try!!

Guys
I know Im grasping at straws or needles in Haystacks but maybe someone will recall buying a Lee Enfield from NFLD since 2015.

long shot but got to try.

I sold the gun which I got from my grandfathers collection not aware of the importance to other family members.
So now I'm trying to back track and locate it.
Thanks

Greg

Depends on what you call an "Enfield".

There might have been an ERA Pattern '14 built with that number, although it is doubtful as they only made 600,000 total.

I don't have it, I do know. Good luck!

As per usual, "smellie" is correct! I had to actually look in a Charles Stratton reference book - ERA only made 604,691 P14 - Winchester and Remington each made fewer than that. I must have been thinking the ERA Model of 1917 number - about 1,354,701. To the OP, if you can not remember the exact name of person who bought it, and do not have the exact serial number, is going to be a very long uphill search!!!

Hey Everyone
I was speaking with another member on this site which I think is the man who bought the rifle from me and he sold it on here. He has since changed his profile name.
Is there any way for him to search his previous rifles sold?
I have asked him if he had any record of who he sold it too and he does not remember.

Thanks guys for your assistance.

Greg

Guys
I think I found the gun who bought the gun, He is a member on here.
Is there any way he can search his previous sales to try and find out where he sold the gun?

Thanks

Greg

Guys
I have found the gun information
P14 ERA
Broad Arrow
George Rex Proof
S/N: 65778 matching the Bolt.
Military Sling

Wood chopper
The guys name I wont mention but he said he never got any feedback from his sales.
I'm new to this site so not sure how all the gun sales work.

Thanks

Greg

As per "woodchopper" - you leave feedback for other guy - is recorded there for all to see. Almost always is not mentioned what got bought or sold. Other guy leaves for you - same thing - is recorded there for all to see. Neither does for either - is also recorded there - nothing there for anyone to see - as in "nada"...

true but if its someone with a low trade rating you can narrow down the potential buyers by timeframe.

looking at your trader rating that would still leave a long list of potential buyers.... :)
