Looking for 30mm or 34mm rings/mount for Weaver Rail

As the title says. I've recently purchased a rifle that only has a Weaver Spec rail available (Traditions Nitrofire) and can't seem to find a lot of options for mounting modern optics. I'd appreciate any suggestions you might have.

you are correct. The cross bar on the bottom of the rings is the culprit. For weaver rings, the cross bars are smaller/thinner, for picatinny they are thicker, squared and designed to fill the complete slot.
 
Weaver themselves make a pile of rings in 30/34mm for their mounts. I used 30mm Grand Slams on a Weaver-style base to mount my last set up, rock solid. They were $20 at CT.
