I originally posted this yesterday in Blackpowder and Antiqies" but it really belongs here.

One of the problems with this calibre is finding dies. Lee will make them for $140 setup + $42 for the dies. CH4D makes dies for $98 with possibly several weeks wait (although they're in stock at Buffalo Arms at the moment) and I believe they're also available from RCBS as a special order.

Lee, however, make them up regularly for Western Firearms in Sydney, AU and they currently have them on sale for $75 rather than the usual $95. Actually that price includes their 10% tax, so overseas orders are minus this. I just ordered a set, which came to $68.18 AUD + $27 airmail shipping, for a grand total of $95.18 AUD, which comes to a hair less than this in Cdn. dollars. Link to Western Firearms page is here.***

Only snag is that they don't have secure online ordering (buggah!) so you have to fax or phone your credit card info. However, I sent it in an encrypted PDF file, with the password in a separate e-mail and that seemed to work. (MS Word will save as encrypted as well.)

Service is fast- I placed the order around 7:30 this evening and just got an e-mail that the order has been "despatched" (Oz is 15 hrs. ahead of us, so mid-afternoon now.) In the message was this: "For future reference we also get Lee to make for us a 310 Cadet Auto-Prime shell holder as well as 310 Cadet Case Length Gauge for case trimming. Please allow around 10 working days delivery." (My brass is converted 32-20 so I don't need the shell holder and I don't imagine that case stretching is much of an issue.)

Seems daft to have to order American-made dies from Australia but it's the cheapest option right now.

*** I know we're not supposed to hotlink to non-supporting dealers but I'm hoping this isn't applicable to a dealer in Australia!

I've been successfully reforming uncut 32-20 brass in a 30 Carbine die and using .314" 100 grain lead wadcutters.
Accurate loads that can also be shot out of my Swiss 1882 revolver.
