Looking for .38 ACP

Anyone know of anywhere to get some .38 ACP ammo? I know not very likely, but you never know.

And if not loaded ammo, a decent supply of brass would also be helpful since I can't seem to find that either. :p

At least on that front, you're in luck. While it may not be safe to shoot .38 super in a .38 acp, there is no problem loading .38 super brass to .38 acp pressure.

And you know what. I knew that.

Just couldn't remember it. :p

Right. Thanks for reminding me.

No worries. I'd still be tempted to colour or otherwise mark your brass so there's less possibility of accidently chambering someones major PF ammo. With the lowering of the PF in IPSC, it might not blow up the gun, but I wouldn't choose to be the one pulling the trigger.

Well, I've taken to always marking my own brass anyways, just so none of it goes "missing" at the range like it has in the past.

Ah, heck, does Frankie the range vacuum travel to BC as well?

I think I saw a box-or-2 on the shelf at Del's last time I was there. Have you checked?

Well, last time I was in at Del's he didn't have any... Had a bunch of .38 Super, but that was it. Oh well. Havn't been in there for a while. Might as well make a trip down today.

Heh. Maybe. ;)

Last time I went up to one of my ranges, I took my 91/30, with old surplus brass. There was a couple of guys there that I talked to for a bit, seemed really interested in my sniper. Anyways, got to shooting, went down to check my target, and when I got back, the guys were taking off, and all my brass was gone.

Unluckily for them, it was surplus steel casings. Hope they had fun trying to reload it. :p

Yeah, unfortunatly, .380 ACP is not the same as .38 ACP, which is not the same as .38 Super, despite .38 ACP and .38 Super having the same case dimensions.

Otherwise I'd be all set with cheap, readily available, ammunition.

Oh well... I'll probably just end up having to buy a bunch of .38 Super and down sizing the charge. :(
