hey everyone,

im new to the site and I was wondering if anybody knows where i can get .410 ammo cheap, or if anyone here loads .410 for sale. I'm located in toronto, if anybody can help send me a PM.

cheers

Are you looking for target load, slugs, buckshot, steel shot, lead small game shot, or other kinds?

Selling/buying personal reloads can be a big no-no. There are all sorts of liability issues involved that it's generally a bad idea. It is also against the CGN rules to offer for sale personally reloaded ammo.
I would never sell my reloads because it can come back on me if someone gets hurt. My reloads only go in my firearms in my presence.

As for cheap 410 that is a bit of an oxymoron. 410 is by far the most expensive shell size to shoot and is the best candidate for reloading. If you are going to shoot a lot it may be worthwhile to buy a press (a used MEC 600jr can be had for $100-150) and a good reloading manual and learn to do it yourself. If you check around locally there may be people willing to tutor you in reloading as well.

As for cheap factory ammo the cheapest I've seen is $109 for a flat of 250 shells of steel shot from LeBarons.

Well I'm looking for target and something to take in the field. I've been shooting AA super number 8 ( 1/2 ounce, 2 1/2 )and they've been great, but its just the $12/box price tag that bugs me. You do make a great point and I will be looking into reloading. Thanks for the input

LeBaron... a flat of Winchester AA 410 is $99. There's the $2 a box rebate right now.

$8 a box for Win AA doesn't sound too bad huh. And you are in Toronto, you have 2 locations to choose from.

Is it in stock though? The Ottawa LeBarons gets in only a couple flats of 410 AA's each shipment and they are always tagged for someone and put behind the counter before the pallet even goes onto the floor.

I was just at lebaron in mississauga and there was no flats of the AA .410... they only had 28 gauge left...

Fiddler where can I find the mec 650jr???any shops near toronto that sells it

Don't know who sells that anymore. Bought mine over twenty years ago and its paid for itself a hundred times over. Any .410 press should work.

I would check around for a used one. They are, I believe, about $250 new but I picked one up with less than 500rnds loaded through it for $100 and the guy threw in about 150 once fired hulls and 1000 AA wads. Put a want-ad in the reloading section or search around. Maybe put up a wanted sign at your local club or store if they allow it.
