Looking for 45/70 - 350 grain Swift A frame loads (marlin/ new 1886 action strength)

I have one entry for this on my load table: 48gr, Fed No. 210 Primer, 2.520" OAL, Starline Brass, Moderate Recoil and average 5 Shot velocity of 1519fps. Grouping was alright at 25yds with iron sights, but did better with 3031 and H322.

Any 350gr load data will work from starting loads if you work up as normal. The Alliant website has a load for Reloader 7 but it's a trap-door load so quite low velocity.

My Lyman book as a level 2 (modern lever gun) load for a 350gr bullet consisting of 43.0-47.7 grains of Reloader 7 showing 1780-2013 fps at 18,800-26,700 cup.

Considering the light for caliber bullet, that even sounds lawyer approved.

Starting loads according to the Hodgdon 2019 reloading manual:

H335.....57.0
H322.....52.0.
IMR4198.....49.0
H4198.....50.5

Something didn't look quite right, had to look it up. Those numbers are not the 'start loads' for a Lever Action! Those numbers, from bottom of page 141, are the start load numbers for "Modern Rifles", like Ruger #1's, see warning page 73 of the 2019 Annual for more info on different 45-70 loads. They are still safe as they are below the Max listed in the 'Lever Section'. I have a big red 'X' through the 'Modern Rifles' section in my 2017, 2018, 2019 annuals so I don't pick wrong load for my Marlin 1895GBL 45-70 Gov :).

These are the start load numbers for the above powders in Lever Actions, top-middle page 141, Hodgdon 2019 Annual.

350gr Swift A-Frames are my favorite 45-70 jacketed bullet for my 20" barreled T/C Katahdin Prohunter and 18.5" barreled Marlin 1895GS rifles.

My powder of choice for all of my 45-70 loads including my T/C Contender carbine is H322.

I load 56grs H322 with 350gr Swift A-Frames.
