Looking for 8-40 Weaver base screws

The Remington semi- auto and pump centerfire fires have different base numbers on their Weaver bases.
To the eye they are technically identical but one uses 8-40 screws and the other 6-48's and that is why they have different part numbers
That is the only one I came across but there may be others. So why would Remington do that?

Older remingtons used 6-48 screws on their receivers as did most other gun makers. They went with the larger 8-40 size in the later productions due to added strength.

I know the 7600s use 8-40s on their scope mounts. Probably the 7400s as well.

I have those 7600 screws but two of them are not long enough for this application.
