Beware... EVERY 10/22 I handled... from the takedown model to the standard carbine had small imperfections on the muzzle face. It seems that a batch of barrels were dropped on a concrete floor at the factory (?). Nothing major, just some mild cosmetic blemishes. In addition, I had to have my barrel swapped because the muzzle crown was uneven -- a portion of the circle (crown) was deeper on the upper left as compared to the lower right (kinda hard to explain, but it looks like it was drilled on an angle). I didn't catch it at the store when I first purchased my 10/22.
I know the blemishes were caused at the factory because the blued barrels have the bluing intact on the small dents.
I testest her out today, and it works great, and VERY accurate. The first barrel, with the f**ked up crown shot like crappola.
