Good Day...

Im lookingat getting a 22 handgun, I have had them in the past Walter P22, Ruger markII, but have traded them for other toys. I always found that they didnt fit my hand well. I have seen and read a bunch of things about the GSG 1911-22, S&W 1911-11 and there are a few others. Is there anyone outhere that can assist me with some first hand knowledge on any of them to help make my decision a little easier.
Right now i know I can get a GSG 1911-22 tactical for around $400.00 is it worth it or not
Thanks for the help

I really dont think anyone can give you advice since you are having hand fit issues. You need to go to a shop and hold them till you find the one that works.
The GSG and S&W are both great guns but are they good for you i dunno.
I had the same problem that you describe with the mark II, angled grips dont really work for me so i like a straight grip like whats on the 1911 so perhaps
it would work for you but its hard to say. You may also want to look into the browning buckmark.
Good luck

Your old pal Ruger has the 22/45 ( 1911 feel ) .. May want to grip that in a test along with the others .. Not a full slide , but not expensive either ... Depending on what model S&W or GSG you are looking at ..

I own the GSG and I would definitely say that it is worth it. The overall "feel" of the gun, to me at least, is of something between a full size 1911 and one of the more compact models. If you've ever shot a 1911 and like the feel of it it is probably safe to say you'll also like the GSG. However, I do have pretty dainty hands though so your mileage may vary. I would recommend seeing if you can actually try the gun out first if you can. It's the only way to be sure.

Thanks for the advice on the GSG and Ruger and Colt, I do currently have a 1911 in .45, and love the way it feels and I can shoot it well. I think I'll be heading to the gun shop in the next few days and get my hands on a few of the 22 clone 1911's and see how they feel. And for a gun under $500.00 is always a good thng.

Thanks again
