Hi,

I want to buy a pistol in .45acp, but i don't know which one buy?

I have around 1000$ and i want it new or very near mint.

Which would be your choice?

Thank you,
Pascal

Ruger KP345 or P345

I'll be selling mine in a short while... great .45 and half the cost of what you set aside to spend.

I picked up my Kimber Custom II for under a g-note brand new a few weeks ago.

I have already think to buy a para 1911 LTC, but i have ready some bad reviews and some people say the service of para in canada is very poor!

Thank you

.45acp

Personally, I'd go for the STI Spartan from Armco for $789 and use the extra to pick up a few accessories, like some good quality extra mags... ;)

Yeah, I just did some research and apparently the STI Spartan is a very good buy for an affordable price too.

I have always preferd the Old Colt 45

I love my series 70 and find that it shoots much better with a custom barrel than the newer made guns ( I hate Plastic)

For about 1000 you should be able to buy a colt and put a really good custom barrel in it

I also like Colt. I like the Gold Cup National Trophy in Stainless. Put some Pachmayr American Legend grips on it and you got yourself a really classy 1911.

If you want to buy a pistol in caliber .45ACP, it has to be 1911A type.
This is a classic every other can measure with.
I love any pistol which resembles original design of J. Browning.

+1. the 1911 design and the .45 were made for each other by the finest firearms designer this planet has ever seen. There is a special place in hell for people who shoot .45 out of a Tupperware gun. :D

I also second the recommendation for the STI Spartan, preferably with Armco's tune job.

I've had a couple of 1911 models, and I much prefer my Glock 21, but that may be because I have a large hand, and always found the 1911's just a bit small in the pistol grip department... But I also found the recoil of G21 less "snappy" than the others.... but that's just IMHO.

hi ide go with ths sti spartan from armco gunner does a great trigger job and i love mine my kimber tle/rl has taken a back seat for now i love my spartan for the price and service from gunnar u cant go wrong ....cheers

Glock 21. There is a special place in hell for those who trust an antiquated design meant for small hands with a limited magazine capacity (and single action to boot).

Either way, at least it's 45ACP!

I love 1911's but I'm also partial to XD45's and USP's as well.

I'd have no problem taking a USP45 or a SIG P220 over a 1911 anyday. In some cases I would prefer it.

I have had very good luck with Dan Wessons, Kimbers, Springfields, Norincos, Rock River Armory, and my Colt Gold Cup. Regards, Richard:)

PS my Para kit gun is also one of my favorites.
