Looking for a 9mm load for 135gr cast

i use a drg 135 cast ahead of 3.9 of 231/hp-38 right on about 1000 fps and shoots real accurate in my buddy's cz and my high power

Andy
PS i don't know tightgroup and bullseye is a might fast for 9mm.

TiteGroup & Bullseye?

Of course both are very fast burning powders. Fear not, for both will work but are not my favourite powders for 9mm. I much prefer PROMO, which is like RedDot, but you gotta use what you brought, so to speak.
The 135 grain cast is a very nice weight for target. Wish the nice people at LEE would make a 135, or a 130 9mm cast mould.
Anyway, I am talking TARGET purposes only, not high speed or plate knock-down stuff. Strickly PPC target loads. Okay.
The Bullseye load would be 3.5 grains, maybe 3.6 grains, but STOP there. The TiteGroup load would be very similar to the Bullseye load. Never go to 3.9 or 4.0, way too hot for target. 3.5 in either would be very pleasant.
Keeping the FPS below 1000 is best. 980-990, etc. I'm talking target or PPC loads....

I would use 124/125 grain data for a similar bullet and work up carefully from the starting charge. If you are already seeing pressure signs at the start load, back it off slightly.

Thanks for the input.

You guys are supporting what if been finding with other sources that titegroup and bullseye maybe on the fast side for 9mm.

Found some suggestions to use WSF for 9mm because it's a slower powder, anyone have experience-using WSF in 9mm?

titegroup is a great powder for 9mm it is just not a great powder for lead (of any caliber IMHO). It burns fast and hot and therefore is smokey/dirty with lead. If you were loading jacketed bullets in 9mm - titegroup is great.

Either Bullseye or Titegroup will work just fine for 9mm; they aren't "too fast". I've burned up lots of Titegroup in 9mm.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? You might be able to get higher velocities out of WSF if you really want to push the envelope.

Just looking for a load to use in ODPL and would like to stay with cast bullets.

I put 4.0gr of titegroup in my Sig 226 pushing a 125g lead cast bullet with great results. I have to agree with jusdivinum as mine smokes like hell
