Does any one know where I can BUY a Timney, or Jewel trigger for my Remington 700.
I've found lots of places that will try to get me one if I pay up front in the hopes they might get one for me some day.

You can order the 2 oz or the target Jewels right from Rem, have had good success with local sport shop getting them from Rem. supplier in Canada. Bought several this way. Lead time usually about a month.

Jerry at Mystic precision one of the banner sponsors at the top of the page has been able to get me Timneys with no hassle. You will have to ask what he has in stock but I back ordered some from him last year and had no problem getting them in.

Have you tried adjusting the trigger that is in it now?

Yep. I have the X-Mark PRO trigger and the adjustment screws seem to just be for show:confused:
I can change the weight of pull from about 5-7 Lbs. And yes I do have a trigger pull scale.

I did get lucky and found a timney trigger collecting dust at a local gun shop:D

Any 700 trigger can have the internals re worked a bit and then adjusted by a competent smith to a crisp light weight (1.5 to 2.5 pounds) for a fraction of the price of a replacement trigger.

^ Agree with a couple of previous comments; it's not difficult to adjust a M-700 factory trigger. I've done it successfully on a couple of my newer rifles (the old ones were fine as-is).

Just wanted to add... beautiful hit by Duncan Keith.
