Alright, I'm not having much luck with a good source for load data. I have some books and online resources but I'm not happy with what I have found. So I'm hoping someone has a nice recipe for me to try. I'm looking for .45-70 loads.

Firearm: Marlin 1895 SBL
Powder used: H335,H4198 and IMR 3031
Brass:Mixed HS
Primer: CCI #200 LRP

I have 3 different bullets I'm looking to load, I'm not looking for really stout loads but I'm certainly interested in anything someone might have.

First: Woodleigh 405gr Weldcore FN

Second: Speer 400gr SPFN

Third: Now this one is a tricky one. Hornady 4504 InterLock 500gr RN. These are big guys and my understanding is that the cannelure is in the wrong place to be able to crimp it properly for function in a lever gun. I know it can be done, I just can't find a load I trust. They are going to have to be seated pretty deep and I'm sure it will be a pretty light load but I just want to find something for them.

So if anyone has some different loads I can try out I would really appreciate it. Thanks guys.

Hogdon load data sight lists 45-70 loads for H335. I just started loading for my sbl and am using 54 grs. Varget (I have a bunch) and a 350 gr bullet. I am also using Trailboss for fun rounds at the range and @ 13grs. it makes for cheap shooting

Your right the 500gr is for bolts/singles but people do use it in levers, just hard to come up with a light load that allows it to be seated deep enough to cycle in a lever gun.
