Can't seem to find the deeper case club style 4-6 pistol and revolver cases. Well north of the border anyway. I can get them from the US but the shipping is a killer. I've seen them at the range but I forgot to ask where they got them from.

I tempted to spring for the Case Club ones and bite the bullet on shipping, but I'm not sure if they accommodate a trigger locked gun. Anyone?

Find a Pelican Dealer and cut your own foam. My 1500 fits 3 semi autos flat. If you want deep and to be able to cut like Case Club units then you probably want a 1520

Flambeau and Plano make similar style cases for a bit less money.

Nanuk, Pelican or.... best value: Princess Auto Impact Resistant Tool Box

Nanuk and Pelican has better quality but costs a lot more. Whereas Princess Auto's impact resistant tool boxes are cheaper clones that can do the same thing as what Pelican and Nanuk offers. The bottomline is: If budget is not an issue, go with Nanuk or Pelican. Otherwise, your only option comparable to Pelican and Nanuk is Princess Auto. They have a foam insert as well that you can customized according to your need.

I have been using Princess Auto Pelican type cases for a couple of years and they work well. The 16" wide model will hold 4 pistols facing front to back standing on their butts. The only drawback is it is not long enough front to back for a 6" barrel revolver.. The 22" model works for this and will hold 5-6 guns.

I use the Princess Auto case with lower foam removed and handguns (with their trigger locks) in rugs. I find this is much handier than custom cutting the foam for specific handguns - more versatile and easier to handle at the range.
