Good morning, currently own a sw 5906 and a sw 3000, looking to acquire an AR15 for Black Gun competition. Do not need overly accurate but good relyablility. Did some research on DPMS and Daniel Defence. Would be ready to invest +-2K$. What would you suggest for optics for 3 Gun and CQB?. I am left handed so thinking about ambi mag release and extended bolt release. Any must do mods/additions suggested?

Thx

I recently got a Colt IUR, little heavy but boy is it ever accurate. Hitting 300yard gong(4/5) while using a eotech (1x) and sandbag. Best part it comes fully ambi already. If you can find one it's worth 1600$. I just upgraded my trigger(Geissele hi-speed National match) and charging handle(raptor). I also shoot left handed, biggest improvement had to be the charging handle. Made everything that much easier and fully ambi.

There is nothing wrong with the Norc. It's just a bit rough to look at and changing out the handguard can require some grunt work. For a hundred or more than that you can get better entry-level ARs IMO but if you are squeezing the credit card you can start out with a Norc no problem. I shot a Norc for two years.

LAR or Beowulf magazines are a must.

Isn't a new bulletin implies that using them on AR is illegal?

When in stock Mrstar has the best price on Norc m4 (on sale $599.00) I personally have a couple of Stag Arms lefties that have been awesome for reliability and accuracy.
