Best I've ever used is a Badger Thruster, brake is not expensive but needs to be installed by a Smith. They need to be bored out to caliber, and I like to have them timed and tapered to the barrel. It's the kind of brake that lets you see your hits on just about any rifle I've tried it on up to 300 win mag.
I have a PA M41 but found it not so good on longer barrel rifles, needs a lot of gas to be effective. It's currently on a 16" 308 and works well on that.
