Looking for a good "Riot" Shotgun

I'm in the market right now, to browse "Riot" style Shotguns, and was wondering what's out there.

I really liked the look of the old High Standard Flight King "Riot" guns they used to have in a lot of the 70's style prison movies.

I understand there's a lot of these older guns floating around, by High Standard, Winchester, etc... I picked up a Rock Island M35 last year to try out, but am thinking of something else for another purchase.

Does anyone have any reccomendations?

This is my 870 Police Magnum with walnut and parkerizing. I love it.
Reminds me of the Flite King from The Getaway.
Really robust shotgun, fun to shoot, a looker and hefty.

hello I too love the old vintage shotguns,i have a few,your best bet would be high standard k-120 riot or Ithaca m-37 I have both and the action is amazing on both little better on the high standard I think,if you need help locating one let me know I can help you for sure.

Doc Ryan nailed with with the FK and the Ithaca 37. Though the two are harder and harder to find, you may have some luck with the Winchester 1300 Defenders, which come up quite often, and at a great price.

The Speed pumps have some of the best actions around, and as long as you don't have any personal issues with an aluminum receiver (which some of the most reliable pumps have been built on) you're off to the races.

If money and availability were of no option, I'd try and track down an Ithaca 37 Deerslayer Police Special, or a nice old Remington Wingmaster with wood.

I always thought riot shotguns were too short for non restricted status in Canada.

I had a beat up old high standard riot gun, it kicked so bad with slugs it blew the earmuffs off my ears. I am used to recoil, just something about that gun or the way the action accepted the recoil hurt the arm. I suggest a Winchester defender, Mossberg 590a1 or a 870 police.

Holy crap! Blew the earmuffs off your ears....note to self...avoid Flite King.
 
Gotta love the older style, riot and trench shotguns. Here's my wingmaster and newly acquired Ithaca m37 that was nicely redone and provided by Docryan61. OP, I'd take up the offer for help to locate you a nice shotgun, he seems to know his way around the classics in this area
