Looking for a gun smith that Mag-na Port's in Calgary

Magnaport scooted back across the border long ago. They used to have a shop in Winnepeg. Any machine shop with an EDM machine could do it, but the angles, shape and sizes of the holes must be correct. It'd be cheaper in the long run to send your barreled action to Magnaport Stateside. Do a Yahoo search for them.

There was /is a guy Joe Endikes I think is his name doing Magnaport, the company name is Heliotex or something to that effect, I no longer have contact info, maybe someone else can chime in with a phone number.

Thanks guy's I'll give him a call today see what he says

Let the rest of us know if he is doing any gun work anymore.... I haven't had any contact for a few years... the last I heard he was in bad health and not taking work in...

Well I talk to Joe Undiks today and well yes he is still mag-na porting and has been doing it for year he charges 125 dollar and its about a 3 to 4 week wait.

If this is the same person that was doing Magna port years ago - beware. He has a long history of scratching the lands at the muzzle with the pilot while doing this work. I still have an example of this damage on a .338 Douglas barrel to fix. I then sent the next work to the Kelly in the US with No problems .
