Hey everyone, I’ve got a Cadex R7 action and a blank Bartlein barrel that need some work—specifically chambering, muzzle threading, and contouring. I’d really prefer to find someone local in Ontario to avoid shipping both the action and barrel. I reached out to Taccord, and they can do everything except the contouring. Since I shoot PRS, I need the muzzle diameter to be smaller than 1.25", so leaving it as is won’t work for me. Any recommendations would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance! Cheers.

Chou brothers seem to do good work - link

They aint in Ontario but the best shooting rifle I own was chambered by Insite - link
Thanks. For chou bros, their website says they aren't accepting any new work. I sent them a message anyways just to double check if that's still the case.

Ken Thiessen - Accuracy Development Solutions

Or Casey - Tactical Ordnance Inc.

Both great guys.
Thanks for the recommendation. I mentioned that I spoke with Tactical Ordnance and Casey mentioned he doesn't do contouring. I'd love to just have him do the entire job but my rifle will look like an F class setup without the contour.
I reached out to Ken, so hopefully he can accommodate. Thanks again for the suggestions in any case

Just curious where do you shoot PRS, as far as I know, there is no PRS match in Ontario or most of provinces in Canada.

Your biggest challenage is not many gunsmith having the right tool/machine for contouring, RDSC as one of the stock dealer for Bartlein barrel, they can, but you have to ship to them.

I shoot PRS @ CFB Borden. You should check it out if interested!
As for the gunsmith, I think I may have found one. Will update post once I hear back

I think I read somewhere that if they take small enough amounts off the barrel with each pass while contouring then stress relieving is not required
