Hello,

I'm experiencing an issues with my Sako 75 V .300WM. When you remove a round from the chamber using the bolt lock bypass; the next time a round is chambered and trigger is pulled, the firing pin won't release. When rounds are removed from the chamber the "old fashioned way" by moving the safety to the firing position and opening the bolt, everything works fine.

Took the rifle to a local smith who couldn't solve the issue so I'm looking for advice on where to send the rife to get fixed. Other than to Finland of course.

Thanks

I am not that familiar with this rifle but from what you have written here, the problem lies in the fact the safety is still engaged.

I suggest once you have extracted the round using the bolt lock bypass, you disengage the safety before doing anything else.

As i recall you only hold the bypass down until you start to open the bolt. You then cycle the bolt and it should work as normal.

I took a closer look at my issue and figured out why I was having this issue.

It seems that after I fired a round I was in the habit of putting the safety on while the spent casing was in the chamber. Then I would use the bypass to remove the spent casing. This method would cause the firing pin not to re-#### and cause the soft trigger I was experiencing. Live and learn :)
