looking for a high-end hunting rifle.

I own Sauer90 Luxus, German made in 9.3x64 caliber. It is a nice gun, bolt works better then anything, and I am not exaturating. The trigger is set, French type, where push forward will activate the light pull, which I have set at 10oz.

Here are some pics.

That has to be one of the nicest rifles I have ever seen. What's it like to slug around with in the bush? Is it heavy? Or is that a very quiet quad?

Screws with thick heads are tightened in and marked. They are then removed, the heads cut down and slots cut in line with the markings. Slots are usually cut to be a little shot of aligned then the screws set up very tight to align. Then the screws are finshed along with the sideplates. One of those nice touches which take some time. Functionally meaningless but nice nonetheless. If it takes 1/2 hour per screw, it should cost about 50 dollars per screw extra. A drop in the bucket on a high end double. Regards, Bill.

Simple, once you know!!

As been said, true craftsmanship!

I have handled a Rigby 470 NE Sidelock and it was beautiful!!!

Really don't think there is anything "simple" about it. Do you have any idea how much hand work and fitting goes into a quality double gun?

I meant that the concept it simple, getting it done properly, takes skilled craftsman and lots of detailed work!

I do have an Idea, havening actually held and examined a John Rigby Sidelock once!

This rifle is very well balanced and nothing so far compares to this one. I have checked different makes like all our import and some Europeans, and that Sauer stand its grand.
Even shooting is not bad. It pushes more then anything else.
