Looking for a K98 (shootable with good bore, matching not necessary)

You're going to have to be a lot more specific than "K98"

There are a lot of different "K98" type rifles out there, produced in several different factories and nations.

The dimensions are the same and sometimes interchangeable.

Usually the stocks will have variations proprietary to the model or nation.

If you're specifically looking for a "German" made rifle, you will need to be careful.

Belgium and a few other nations produced some extremely good versions of the K98, but of course, labeled them differently.

Many folks don't know the differences.

Do some homework on the internet, so you can describe what you're looking for, or you're going to be offered several of the variants.

Over the years I have had several Yugo. M98 Mausers. Most were in great condition and were good shooters. The only one I still have is a 24/47. In very good to excellent condition and a great cast bullet shooter. A few years ago they were selling for less $500.bucks. Probably still the best bang for the buck in any type of M98. An Israeli conversion in 308 might be a good choice if you want to shoot some and are not a reloader.
