Hey everyone!
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post, please advise.

The question is, I'm looking for a hunting rifle, a couple that have my interest is zastava LMK 70 6.5x 55
Any experience with them?

Then a Remington 788, looking around it looks to be very accurate. They came in 6mm remington and 308.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!
Mark

Used LH rifles are few. In 30+ years, I've had 3 pass my way. As good of a shooter as a 788 is, it's an older rifle and subject to parts availability. Being LH only compounds that. LH Remington 700s are more common, but due to Remington's demise and subsequent rise from the ashes, parts may be made again. Ruger offered many chamberings in their 77 line. Zastava is a commercial Mauser 98 variant and the design has proven itself for 120+ years. The Tikka T3, as was suggested by SuperCub, is a good choice, being current production.

The Tikka T3, one that I would like to get my hands on is the T3 hunter in 6.5x55, the zastava looks to be a good workhorse rifle, nothing fancy, but will get the job done.

are A bolts cheap in CAN?

Looking on #######, there doesn't seem to be many out there, I'm not sure what they would go for used?

Savage has done a great job over the years with LH rifles in the "budget" category. Used LH Weatherbys might work if you find one that has been previously enjoyed, but not thrashed.

Yeah, the 110 was another one that would be interesting to find in a good hunting calibre. Weatherbys might be a bit more difficult to find.

I'll second what some of the others have said -- the Tikka T3 (or T3x) is fantastic, and commonly available in LH. They are a bit pricier than some options, but in my opinion they are really good value. I have much less experience with Savage options, but in my experience they have their pros and cons. They are accurate, with a good barrel and decent trigger, and certainly cheaper than the Tikka. However, the Savage does not have the "fit and finish" of more expensive models. The bolt grinds a bit (can be hard to cycle quickly), and I find the overall ergonomics and feel are not as good.

As mentioned, the Savage's offer lh models, but fit/finish isn't quite to my liking.
Ruger makes LH rifles in both the Hawkeye and American Rifle lines.
While I prefer the Hawkeye, the American Rifle my uncle had for a truck gun was quite accurate for a budget priced rifle.
Tikka's represent good quality for the price.
Remington's Model 700's are great rifles (have a few of my own in LH), but are getting harder to find and pricier all the time. The model 788's weren't too common, but definitely had a good reputation for accuracy.
Browning's have always represented good quality, but at a slightly higher price. Used lefty's are also harder to find. Definitely like mine
Sako's are definitely tops in left handed rifles, but you can find older models used for the same price as a new Browning, if you search long enough. Really like the ones I have in the Model AV and Model 85!
Really too bad that Howa never made a left handed model. Would have been decent quality at a good price point.

As a lefty myself, I would recommend also including remington 7600's and savage 99 lever guns in your search.
P&D, a site sponsor currently lists a used abolt LH wood stock in 270 for $800, and a used remington 7600 in 30-06 for $675. Just get a good recoil pad if you go for the 7600 in 30-06.

In their new guns, they also have the Ruger american predator LH in 7-08 for $780. Of course they have a bunch in addition to that.

Good luck.
