looking for a M14 stock tool loan

i use 2 finishing nails, fat ends sticking out about 1/8 , grasped in a pair of vice grips :D or.... i found that a smaller pair of needlenose pliers has tips small enough to fit firmly in the holes and are damn perfect for removing those pesky stock liner screws

those keys to the cheap plastic gun ;ocks also work well- the ones with the two projections ( i really want to use the other word) that mate to the one long screw

Good one

thanks... I used 2 finishing nail in a piece of 2X4 as a tool... worked... Norc is now sitting in a new Boyds walnut stock... that I've had for 2 years... sold my last M14 and forgot about the stock until recently... it was sitting in the basement... looks good... and will look better after a little adjustment!:sniper:

Now you are all on board for the 'Welfare' method :D. In all honesty, having the right tool is great (prevents scratches, I've done this) to have around, but for occasional use, improvising your tools for a non-critical area is rewarding!!
