Looking for a mag-fed for my office

I though either of these would put it over the 26" limit...

That works for a 14" barrel. He was asking about a 12.5" barrel.

Which is a whole 'nuther thing.

Update; My buddy Drucker sold me his 18" mag-fed. I just ordered a 12.5" barrel from CanAm along with other goodies. My plan is the following;

- Install the 12.5" barrel on my buddy's Grizzly
- Buy a Knoxx top-folder (possibly from ###XX if he's willing to haggle a bit :D)
- Simply add a loc-tited bolt or something to the arse-end of the pistol grip folder mount itself. Voila, 26.5"

Whaddaya thinks?

Where do you work that would allow you to keep a gun in your office. I need a better job dammit. I love my pistol gripped mossbergs one is beside the bed in a custom saddle sling. The other is beside my couch hidden in a magazine rack. Coyotes growl at my dog I like to bark back with an extended bite

I get away with a lot at work 'cause......well, I sleep with the boss :D

I own my own HVAC outfit here in Montreal. Helps, huh?

Well, I ended up with a 12.5" barrel and a top-folder Knoxx mounted on my Grizzly mag-fed. Overall length is at 25-7/8". So either I mill off the swivel mount on the arse-end of the Knoxx and drill/install a bolt or something to bring me up to 26-1/8", or add a 1/8" spacer between the stock & receiver to bump the OA lenght to the limit 26".
Opinions please?

PS: How'n heck do you disassemble the Knoxx top-folder? I was attempting to take a look-see to assess how hard it'd be to mill off the swivel mount and install a bolt to increase OA length.

... as well as anything that will stand still for more than 10 seconds.

On another note, my 12.5" Grizzly with pistol grip is 22" OAL. I of course re-installed the shoulder stock within 30 days so as to avoid having to advise the CFO of having modified my shotgun. The pistol grip made evil suggestions... the world is much safer with the full sized stock as the shottie is now silent. :cool:

For about $100, you could have the barrel threaded for "chokes" which would give you and added 3/8" or you can have a poly choke installed for about $125 which would give you more OAL but you could use if for hunting or trap shootin'. w:h:

I'd be tempted to mold a plasticine end cap over a drill rod through the sling swivel, then make a plaster mold and fill it with JB Weld or other epoxy.

Might as well make it look pretty.

Or you could talk Arwen Ace into installing one of his nifty breechers onto a choke tube.....

Working on heating & air conditioning that dangerous in Montreal ? :D

lol

You get those voices, too? Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I had a 10/13 mag break once and the stop inside fell off. As soon as that mag was full capacity, it started trying to talk me into all sorts of terrible things. Disaster was narrowly averted that day. :D

If you need a 1/8" use a sling plate.

And that, fellow CGNers, is why Normy's circle of friends is limited to single digits...lower than the number 2 :p

Not a bad idea. I'm sure my bud Paul Barrette could fix something up for me. But it's yet more $$ for something which will rarely see any action.

Great idea as well. And epoxy is relatively easy to finish/touch up as well. Bonus, wouldn't cost a thing!

What's a breecher? Sounds like some sorta baby-killing device ;)

You have NO idea :p

With out a doubt you need a Valtro PM5

Awesome shotgun

:shotgun::dancingbanana:G:

I have one. Shoots high and you need the arms of an orangutan in order to reach the forearm to pump it. I can't stand the darned thing and wonder why I don't sell it.
Oh yeah, now I remember. 'Cause I'm an idiot who knows how to buy but not how to sell.....

Yeah, I was initially leaning that way. I'm just worried that in order to play safe, it's have to be more like 1/4" in thickness. Doing that would then put the trigger further away from the pistol grip. I've got short stubby fingers as it is.

And NO. It is NOT true what they say about how you can guess the size of a man's appendage based on the size of his fingers.... :redface:
