Looking for a new air rifle, need a recommendation!

I would order off of airgunsource.com anytime because they have excellent customer service! they also order many products from pyramidair.com too.

I wouldn't buy off someone that is sneaky or tries to steal identity.

A great air rifle is the izh-61 side lever springer. It has a 5 round magazine clip for .177 pellets and is very accurate, consistent and light weight. If I didn't own a PAL or pcp powered airguns, this would be my favorite air rifle. co2 is great when the temperature is warm or hot. i dont like how co2 is affected by temperature and the price you pay for it. since i shoot often, co2 would cost more long term over compressed air (pcp). A springer is the greatest power planet for a non-pal air rifle because it teaches you how to control the recoil and gives you lots of consistent shots.

I've bought one of my Condors from Airgunsource, and the service was second to none.Very helpful in answering my questions and lightning fast delivery.I also say the same thing for Specialty Shooting Sports!

After researching some more and going through the advice given here I have decided to go with the Daisy Powerline 953. It holds 5 pellets in the clip, is just under 500fps and is a single stroke. Now I just have to find out where to buy it... anyone know? D&L and airgunsource both don't seem to carry it... will continue to look around.

Thanks for all of the advice!

Couldn't agree more........ but man they jacked-up the price......

My plan is to use the Daisy 953 until I get my PAL and then upgrade to a more expensive/powerful gun. The Daisy will still be great for teaching my children how to shoot, so it will hold value beyond the point when I have my PAL.

Glad to hear that it's a good rifle. I was pretty sure it would be. Smoking price too.
