Looking for a new gun.. Something for IPSC.. For a Lefty!

So I have been using and planning on using 1911 for future matches, but turns out they are fairly slow for us lefties, as we have to somewhat search for the mag release..

So I am looking for a new gun, any good quality ones out there which I can convert the mag release to the other side?
Only ones i can think of is glock 34 gen 4 and maybe sig 226? Any others? (Mind you the sig has a decocker useless for a lefty), perhaps HK's but not sure if they are any good for matches?

I really like single stack, but the reloads are just too cumbersome, and too easy to accidentally get a DQ when fumbling around with the index finger.

Any other sugetions.
 
Not a 1911 guy but can't you reverse or get another mag release for lefties? I know the 2011 you can.

I'm a lefty and shoot a shadow for ipsc and a g34 gen4 for multigun. Both are able to swap mag releases but each will put you in a different division for ipsc
 
Yea, i dont have to stay in single stack, not the end of the world, cant move it on a 1911, can only make it extended, which would be even worse
Could go to production div.

Why is a glock 34 gen 4 not to be used in production? I would consider it.

Cylinder and Slide has a left-hand mag release that may be a less expensive alternative to a new gun.

I'm a righty, but due to my stubby thumbs I prefer to hit my mag release with my trigger finger. On my CZ shadows I have the mag release swapped to the right side of the gun and hit it with my trigger finger. That's a very viable option for you.

Until now when I shoot my 1911's I've just used my weak thumb to hit the mag release on the way to grabbing a mag and it is just as fast as any other method I've tried.

Until now.... I finally found a right hand 1911 mag release. Mitchell Custom right hand mag catch. I love it so far, but I haven't shot with it yet. I just got it last week. I will be testing it out on Thursday night at league though. I think I'm going to like it. Drop in part, no fitting required. At least in my gun.

If it works like I think it will I'm going to get a few more for my other 1911's.

Why not leave the mag release where it is if you are a lefty. I an right handed and prefer the mag release on the right side so I can use my trigger finger to release the magazine. For me it is much faster. JMB put the mag release on the left side of the 1911`s (he was left handed), and the rest is history as they say.

Yea, i noticed the mitchells the other night, pricey, but looks like a quality product, looks like its super extended mag release. No holster issues?
