i am looking for a place to hunt deer in ontario about 4 to 5 hours drive from montreal,crown land or on private land.not looking for meat i can get that here more for the horns 120 to 140 class deer would be nice.

Hi. You're too late for this year. Except for bow hunting in certain areas, rifle deer seasons are over. A non-resident licence isn't cheap either. $219.01 including HST, for a bucks only tag. Plus the non-resident Outdoors Card Tax of $9.68, including HST.

Your best bet would be to net search for outfitters. You should narrow down where you want to go first, then look at the hunting regs for the WMU.

"...4 to 5 hours drive from Montreal..." Big area. Trenton is about 4 hours 20 minutes. Other places, North of there, would be a bit more due to lower speed limits. Give you an idea of where you're headed.

There are late season muzzle loader hunts in certain areas, but you have to get your name in the draw in August. You're a little late to be thinking about it in mid-November.Better wait till next year and think about it in the summer.
