It's a Colt Gold Cup National Match MK4 series 80

All internals are STI and I have a box with all the original parts and grips.

The only thing wrong with an original Colt Series 80 Gold Cup National Match, is that it is not a Series 70. Other than retrofitting it to function as a Series 70 with genuine Colt parts, messing up such a gun is a "gun crime". As the owner of a Colt Series 70 Gold Cup National Match, I can attest that it is as close to 1911 heaven as you can possibly get.

As a shooter, that is a great gun, I don't know anyone would put STI parts in a gold NM. Silly I would say.
But everyone can do what he wants with his gun, as long as it is still safe.
With the crappy paint job, the other guys are close at 800.oo , 1000.oo maybe if you have all the original parts., but would be a hard sell
I would have it in my case at 795.oo, but I would try to go back to colt parts and strip the slide.

I had a couple of Series 80 Gold Cups, they had spur hammers. So the beavertail install meant the frame was cut and ground to fit. I don't know the Cerakote process but they must've bead blasted or treated the metal surface somehow.

In its molested state, I agree with those who said $800.00

Nothing can be done to unmolest this already violated Gold Cup.

It's a shooter, is all

Its a nice shooter but Colt sends out CGCNM autos with exceptional bluing. Looks like it was polished a bit too much before the new paint.
The STI parts are good & if the frame-to-barrel-to-slide fit is still good, just enjoy it as a shooter. If you want to sell it minus the original parts, its a C$650.00 auto.
