Looking for a really good reloading bench.

Did the CT thing also. Pretty darn sturdy once attached to the wall studs. Picked up a few pieces here and there when they were on sale. They always seem to be on sale. lol

i thought I would share with everyone some pictures of what I ended up with.

To keep the table solid I put a 2x12 across the bottom braces and put all my bulk bullets and cases on top to weigh it down. I still have a few things left to do but it's basically set up now. Thanks everyone for all the advice.

Please tell us you cleaned it up just for the pictures. Otherwise you're going to be labeled as over the top OCD.... :d

That looks great. The only thing missing is the vacuum you keep handy to clean that carpet frequently. All presses spill some powder during a longer run. Never mind our own accidents. The carpet will hold that powder and create a significant fire risk if anything bad were to ever happen. And that exact situation did occur to at least one person that I've read of where the carpet powder did catch fire and the results proved to be fairly "interesting".

This looks to be a basement spare bedroom. It may be worth considering switching the carpet in this one room over to laminate flooring to make sweeping up easier. The carpet could come out and be stored away and the floor replaced by yourself for around a buck and a half per square foot for the less costly selections out there these days.

Other than that it's a superb setup.

Thanks for the info bc rider. I was telling my wife I wished the floor was laminate I thought I could just clean up any powder but I guess it would slowly build up in the carpet. Maybe I will get one of those carpet cover things for office chairs and put under my reloading presses so I could just sweep up any spills. As for the ocd I literally just moved everything from my garage reloading area to the basement one I'm sure it will slowly go down hill from here. Lol the garage was just way to hot to store powder and primers let alone me reloading in 28 degrees or open the door and get attacked by mosquitos in the evening. I built a huge bench in there but only lasted about 2 months then gave up on the garage. Thanks again for the safety info can't be to safe dealing with explosive substances.

...in the good ol' days i had one rcbs and two lee presses bolted to my dining room table.
When company came over, i simple put pillow cases over them. But, alas, married life has changed my ways.
LMAO!!!! Too funny!
I'm the opposite--my DH built me a reloading bench in my home office. I think he was anticipating a migration of reloading activities to the main floor haha.
