looking for a rifle like M-16, AR-15, that is NON-RESTRICTED?

Thank you ben,

I contacted Clay - if there are a few people interested we should buy do a group order of ar-180b from the US if we can locate that many.

I located on the Michigan for 700$, 92% condition says ad w/o magazine... +250$-350$fee = around 1000$ for an ar-180b? or am i being too optimistic

Clay is very good to deal with, highly recommended!!!

Here's my Kel Tec Su-16. I've had great luck with mine but others haven't. I'm sure they'll chime in at some point. Either way yes it didn't start out looking like it does now but it's an easy rifle to modify if you're handy with tools and a little imagination.

Being able to use the 10rd LAR mags and being NR were the 2 big reasons I bought one and the fact that Kel-Tec produces a pistol grip stock that uses AR bits sweetened the deal some.

My vote would go towards looking at an RA XCR for the non restricted AR experience. I have the newer version of the XCR with the upgrades and FAST stock and it's a fantastic rifle. I also just bought a Daniel Defense M4 V5, as I have always wanted the true AR experience, and I quite enjoy it as well, but between the two, I would definitely pick the XCR for "fun to shoot" and ease of use.
Remember as well, that gun purchases tend to be many year to life long investments, so instead of buying a cheaper ok gun, maybe wait a bit and buy a truly worthy gun you'll enjoy for many years?
Also, if you buy a used XCR off the EE and you end up not really loving it, it won't cost you much at all to resell it and go in another direction. Hope my experiences help your decision.

Does it need to be a 223?? If not, buy a JR carbine. They come in 9mm, 40, and 45acp. can pick one up new for $900, used for as low as $700. They look very close to an AR, but cheaper to own, cheaper to shoot, excellent customer care for any issues, and they take glock mags!
