I didn't like the way it felt in my hands. I've been handling different pistols off and on for the last 4 months trying to get the perfect feel. I love the way the M&P 40 felt so i picked that up a few weeks ago.

This was the first 1911 i've held. Maybe i just need to get used to it. If i can't find a buyer, i'll take her to the range and shoot a few hundred through and see how i feel then.

May I ask you a question?
I got a new Sr1911,there is one thing I don't understand,all my handguns have a Number on the barrel which match the number on the frame,but my new Sr1911 does not has a number on the barrel.

Why?
 
Serialized barrels are not a requirement in NA. We register the "receiver". That's why you can take the slide off your Glock and legally carry it in your pocket. (although, if someone sees it in public, you would probably be forced to taste test asphalt by a big dude in a blue jumpsuit carrying an M4..)

Europe, on the other hand, tracks the barrel. (possibly every S/N'd part, I'm not totally up on EU gun regs)

The frame is the restricted part, I dont think any of my handguns have #'s on the barrels.
