Looking for a rule clarification for a 3gun rifle.

Reading through the 3gun rules of different governing bodies all seem to state the same thing.

FNH 3Gun
Tactical scoped division
5.3.4.1 Not more than one (1) electronic or optical sight is permitted.

International Multi-Gun Association
Tactical Scoped class
6.4.5 Tactical Class scoped rifles may be equipped with no more than one (1) optical sight.

3 Gun Nation

Rifle – Tactical Optics
6.5.3 Scoped rifles may be equipped with no more than one (1) optical sight.

There is no mention of iron backup sights.
Can you run a set of offset irons along with your 1 optical sight?
There is no mention of iron sights being prohibited.
I understand if you run 2 optics such as a scope and a red dot you will go to open division but it seem to me that iron sights are not considered to be "optics".

45 degree iron sights are good to go in other divisions than Open.

What perfect timing to read this ... Was going to offset mount an aimpoint on my rifle tonight to augment the scope ... Guess not , thanks guys.

Good to go at most matches....I do remember reading the rules for one match that required they be in the same line of sight as the optic.

With 3 gun thoug...because a lot of it is outlaw, yoj really gotta check the ruleset for each and every match, cept 3gn
