Del Selin has a pretty nice 4" for sale for 250.00! He had 2 but I bought one of them. 12-6 required, of course.

Forgot to mention it is a 28-2, pinned and recessed, no mim'ed parts.

Agreed! I picked mine up of the EE in December. It seems like you often see these older revolvers there for good prices, and I'd much rather have one of the older ones than one of the newer ones.

Same wood, different name. Can also be called Santos Rosewood, Bolivian Rosewood (not a true rosewood though), Morado and a few other less common ones.

Yes, it is quite retarded...... And yes, there are some riduculously good deals on 12(6) guns around. I have a Ruger Security Six snubbie for sale in the EE at a nice low price. Richardoldfield, the 27 is much nicer finished, and like any Smith, the older the better. Your 28 doesn't look like a factory blue job to me, has it been refinished by you?
