looking for a S&W model 629 classic

alright i've been looking everywhere for one of these babies but i can't find them and IIRC the damn law prevents them...I would do anything to get my hands on one of these

if I could find one like that in canada i'd be overjoyed, though i haven't seen any and I don't think importing it from the US would work even if someone with a PAL was importing it...

anyway is it possible to get one without being arrested?

As long as the barrel is longer than 4" there should be no issue with a dealer getting them imported.

If it's a six inch 629 it is legal. Leverarms has some eight inch ones.

Handguns with barrels of 105mm and under, or .25's & .32's are prohibited. Anything else is restricted.
The trouble is finding one but they do pop up from time to time. And then you can get one of the gunsmiths on this site to cut the barrel down to 106mm!
