looking for a scope

hey guys, i'm looking for a scope. what i would like is:

-variable magnificaion, up to 14-18X
-side focus
-mil-dot
-target turrets

i'm not picky about make, but i want good performance for the $$$. looking for a low price point, otherwise i could easily find what i want by dropping 4 digits.

it will not need to stand up to punishing recoil.

don't care if it's 1" or 30mm, although the 30mm would give more adjustment.

i have looked at mueller optics, but the only model they sell with side focus is not mil-dot.

any suggestions?

I am looking for a similar scope. I was concerned about falcon as the warranty is only 5 years and well I am not a huge fan of chinese made internals.

For that reason I am now looking at the vortex viper 6.5-20 50MM. it retails for around 600 on grouseriver. I believe it is a higher quality scope then the falcon, and it has a superior warranty, just not terribly popular (and I cannot figure out why)

If you have a Scheel's store close by in yhe USA. go on linr and check out their name brand scopes. They also have a 4x16x56 not listed (that I bought) for 399.99 They have a lifetime over the counter replacement warranty. I don't know who makes them but so far it's a very nice scope. My experiance is to stay clear of bushnell.

i've got a few bushnells, two 4X and a 3-9. a a few tascos, one from japan, china and taiwan, in a 4x, a 2.5-10x and a 6-24x, and a mueller APV 4.5-14x.

i'm happy with all of them except the 6-24 blurs out so bad at high magnification. beyond 18x it's pretty useless. otherwise all good, nothing has fallen apart. most of these have come attached to a gun, so they were alright, but if i'm buying i want a little better than alright.

so there's my optic experience, i don't have much experience with optics, especially with high end stuff as it's pretty hard to justify.

who sells falcon? i'm pretty sure wholesale sports sells vortex. i want to see one in person before i buy ideally.

Check out the Sightrons--- they're getting really good reviews. Not sure if they have the side focus or not. That could only come on more pricey scopes.
Otherwise I would go Bushnell.

I had one but it sold. I am getting another one in a couple of weeks. Only thing is no side focus but 3 out of 4 ain't bad, plus it is 30mm.
