I know UTG had a rail but they're near impossible to find these days. And supposedly it was better than the standard HK rail.

Does anyone know where I can get one of these? right now the rail on my HK SL8-4 is WAY too high when paired with my PEPR. Any help would be appreciated. Prefer not to spend $100's of dollars either, but I understand it's HK!

Do you have a large objective scope on it? Sounds like some lower rings might be a bit easier and cheaper way to get the scope to sit lower for you. The PEPR mounts it to an AR15 optic height, unless you need to extra height from a really big objective lens scope.

You might be able to get a dealer to order in an HK brand one, but it will be far from cheap... Wolverine has some SL8 optics rail on their website, but no pictures so I have no idea what it's like... It's a pricey sucker too!

You could always cut the SL8 rail down to length to allow the Objective to clear; if that's your problem... I've seen it done a few times before, and again... rings are going to be a much cheaper solution than a new top rail...

Otherwise, look on Ebay or Amazon or something for one of the UTG ones, as they're probably the best option.

Well, the one I want "mnt p801" is $100 at hkpro, which is ridiculous. It was $20 before they went out of stock.

Gotta find it somewhere as I don't think any rings will lower it enough.

unless you are sharing the scope with multiple rifles I would seriously look at switching over to a set of low rings, I recently ditch my Vortex/ADM mounts for a set of low Burris Zee rings, the comfort with the proper cheek well was well worth the trade off for the convenience.
