Looking for a small peice of rail to mount light...

I want to mount a flashlight to the side of my M14. I would like to have a small peice of rail maybe 2 or 3 inches sp I can use standard type mounts. Does anybody know where I can find something like this?

Go to a gun show and find a used weaver scope mount and trim to suit.

Why is it so complicated to order online from questar?? They need a PAL #?
