Title says it all. I wear glasses and need a spotting scope that can see .223 holes up to 300 meters in the 300-350$ range with good eye relief. I have tried out a couple of spotting scopes at the ranges but i find it difficult to see anything due to my glasses. Any suggestons?

spend more money and get a better scope? I was researching a similar problem recently. The best I saw for a reasonable price was the Pentax ED 80mm, was about $1200 though. I have bought cheap scopes in the past, they are crap until the objective drops off the end... Maybe try and buy a demo model or a used high end scope? The sponsor above Cameraland has lots to chose from.

I think an LER eye piece for a KOWA runs about $300. Thescope body runs another $900 or so. Seeing .223 bullet holes at 300m is possible with a high end scope under ideal conditions. Add mirage to the mix and you will not be able to see them.

2X on speaking to Doug at Cameraland. I used an upcoming hunt as an excuse to purchase a new bino and spotting scope combo. The bino's are Nikon Monarch's 10x42 and the spotting scope Nikon Prostaff (variable to 40x with 65mm objective). While I have no experience with really high end gear, both the bino's and the scope are VERY MUCH better than my previous $150 bino's and $150 scope. The bino's were "demos" but appeared new to me. The total cost of the promo package was $500. The scope tripod was extra at $75. Prior to this purchase, I shopped the bino's in Toronto- price was $370!. No taxes and free shipping in the US with Cameraland. Great people to deal with.

X3 on the Minox from Doug at CameraLand. I bought a demo 62ED with the 21-42 LER eyepiece. Lightweight, compact, and super clear. Doug was great to deal with.
