Looking for a tactical pump action

I am wanting a worked over 870 and was wondering if I should go for a Tacord build or one from S&J Hardware. Nothing too fancy from either one just a nice slicked up action and put together with care.

Really like the looks of the Tacord Versamax though...

Thank you for any input.

I was in at Tacord today and Casey had 6 versamax guns stripped down and getting the full treatment. I don't do shooting games but I was sure tempted. You won't go wrong with a Wingmaster though. Hunting season will be winding down in a few weeks, now is the time you will find one at the local gun store. Personally I would build it myself. Most wingmasters don't need slicked up, and they are a perfect project for someone getting started.

I've owned both 870 and 590a1. Love the mossberg a lot more. Lifter not in the way and safety is fool proof. Safety forward, shot goes forward. No thinking

I would get a fabarm if I was looking for a tactical pump action. They come in many different variations and barrel lengths and would likely be cheaper than a worked over 870 (not to mention better quality)

Another tactical pump that really takes the cake that I would consider my go to is the Sap-6. The only problem I had with mine was the J-hook the trigger was at was very uncomfortable to hold. Other then that I would buy again at for sure, and I intend to.

A site sponsor is about to import Valtro PM5. I believe these were unavailable in Canada for over a decade.

Yup. Westrifle has them in stock right now.

I've had several 870s over the years, after selling my Winchester Defender. Ended up getting rid of them and going back to Winchester, with a newer Defender, and added a SAP6. Love them both.
