Looking for advice on a Pelican case for handguns.

You might want to try Princess Auto - they now carry Pelican clone cases that appear to be just as stout & well made as the originals, at a fraction of the cost of Pelican.

This for sure. My son bought a Pelican and I have the Princess Auto version. Side by side you could not tell the difference. The only discernible difference is our bank accounts.

I strongly recommend the Princess Auto product.

I have a 1600 case for 6 handguns and it's heavy! A slightly smaller case for 4 guns is ideal.

I'll second that for the Princess auto pelican clones. I have one set up for two laying on their side but the holster style setup for four will work great.
They are extremely well made for a a sale price of under $30!

I've got one of the Princess Auto versions as well. Picked it up a year ago on sale for $33. The equivalent Pelican case locally would have been over $160.

So far I have no complaints with my "cheapskate" version. Not the same quality as Pelican but seems to be holding up just fine.

I have Pelican and a Princess Auto cases of similar shapes and sizes, basically attaché or brief case size. For trips to the range, which is of course all you can do with pistols in Canada, the PA is excellent and also irreproachable under the law. I bought the Pelican about 5 years ago, before I knew about the PA deal, with the idea that it would also be useful to keep electronics in on things like wilderness canoe trips, but OTOH have not once used it for that- because when contemplating its carry weight, I don't want to do it and go to dry bags. But I'm still glad to have the Pelican in reserve for a trip down the Thelon River or Noah's second flood or something- they are the M1 Abrams of such things.

this is mine
